Privacy - Guests registering for events
If you are not a library member you can still register for events as a guest.
We collect your personal information so we can contact you about the event you have signed up for. We will not use this information for any other purpose.
When you register for an event we collect:
- Your email address
- Your full name and/or the name of any other people you register for the event
- Your age and/or the age of any other people you register for the event (for events with age restrictions)

Privacy - Library members
We collect your personal information to enable you to use a wide range of library services.
When you join the library we collect:
- Your full name
- Your address
- Your phone number (optional)
- Your email address (optional)
- Your date of birth (optional)
- Your gender (optional)
- Your password (optional when registering in person)
Your information is stored by Civica for us to provide library services. This includes:
- Borrowing items
- Sending you email and text notifications about your borrowing
- Referrals to our debt reminder service Unique Management Services
- Providing you with access to digital or online services
When using some of our digital or online services personal information is provided to external service providers. This personal information is limited to:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your regular library (we call this your home library)
- Your library card number
- Your library card password
- Whether your library card is current or has expired.
This information allows our service providers to:
- Create a profile for you within their system
- Contact you if required
- Check that your library card is valid and can be used to access their service
- Allow registration for events using your library card.
Services that receive personal information from us when you use them are:
- APNK (chrome computers within the library, printing services, internet access)
- ePukapuka/Libby (eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines)
- Linkedin Learning (online learning platform)
- Pressreader (digital newspapers)
- Solus (Your Library App)
- Storybox Library (storytelling videos for kids).
By logging into any of these services you are allowing us to share your personal information with the service provider.
