The Walter Nash Centre is an ideal venue for concerts, award ceremonies and weddings. The facility features state of the art lighting, ventilation and acoustics.
Walter Nash Centre has five indoor courts, in two separate stadiums. It’s an ideal venue for regional and national sports events. The full venue can be booked or can be split it in half for smaller events.
Bookings are essential if you’d like to hire out the full facility, and they must be made well in advance. We may be able to offer a booking discount for community groups, regular bookings or large events – please contact us for more information.

Casual use
The indoor courts are free to use when we don’t have a booking. To find out when you can use them, pop in and talk to us or check the signboard at the front of the Centre for the daily bookings.
Court and stadium layout
Courts can be hired individually or combined for larger events. They are marked up for netball, volleyball and basketball. The stadiums can also be hired for non-sporting events including concerts, award ceremonies and weddings.
Stadium 1 – courts 1, 2 and 3
The newest stadium at Walter Nash Centre features naturally sprung wooden floors – the same ones are used at the Olympic Games. It also has state of the art lighting, ventilation and acoustic systems.
When the courts are combined they can seat up to 800 people on fixed and moveable seating.
Stadium 2 – courts 4 and 5
This is the original stadium at the Walter Nash Centre site. Stadium 2 has permanent tiered seating for up to 600 people, and is the smaller of the two.
